Election Primer: Who Is Running In Manasquan & Belmar
With Election Day a little more than a month away, here are the candidates for the upcoming general election in Manasquan and Belmar.

MANASQUAN/BELMAR, NJ – Election day is a little more than a month away, and towns all over the state are holding municipal elections for mayor, council, and their board of education.
For Manasquan and Belmar, there are no mayoral races this coming November, but each town does have a contested council race and an uncontested board of education election.
In Manasquan, two council seats are up for grabs, with current councilman Jay Bryant and Charles Kelly, the Democratic nominees running against Republican candidates Lori Triggiano and Brian Holly.

There are three spots up for election on the Manasquan Board of Education. Still, only the three incumbent members, M. Alexis Pollock, Martin J. Burns, and Donna Bossone, filed petitions for the upcoming election.
Over in Belmar, Democratic nominee Gerald Buccafusco will be running against the Republican nominee Jodi Kinney for the single seat on the dais. At the same time, only two candidates filled out petitions for the three openings on the Belmar Board of Education, current members Michelle Lomas and Erika Salgado.
