Halloween Events Happening This Week In Manasquan & Belmar
Residents in Manasquan and Belmar have events going on this week that bring the Halloween spirit.

MANASQUAN-BELMAR, NJ – As we are beginning Halloween week, multiple events are happening in the Manasquan-Belmar area this week to keep everyone in the Halloween spirit.
The borough of Belmar’s recreation department is hosting a Halloween parade and Trunk or Treat event for Belmar and Lake Como children from pre-K to eighth grade on Friday, Oct. 29.
Costume contest registration begins at 4:30 p.m. inside the borough’s recreation gym on Main Street, with judging starting at 5:30 p.m. The costume contest has four categories: funniest, scariest, most original, and group (three or more).

The parade kicks off at 6:15 p.m. and ends in the Plaza when the costume contest winners will be announced; then, Trunk or Treat will start at 7 p.m. in the plaza parking lot, with music provided by the Beach Music Rock Band.

In the event of rain, only the judging will take place inside the gym.
Over in Manasquan, the Samaritan Center is presenting the “Harvesting Hope for Mental Health” festival on Oct. 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Squan Plaza. There is a $25 admission for people 10 and older, including a Joe Leone’s boxed dinner, and $5 for children under $10, which consists of a Jersey Mike’s boxed dinner.
Costumes are welcome, and there will be pumpkin painting, square dancing, music, and games.
