Manasquan To Flush Fire Hydrants Next Month

Residents could expect to see some water discoloration for the project's duration, which starts on Oct. 4.

MANASQUAN, NJ – The borough of Manasquan is alerting residents that bi-annual fire hydrant flushing is scheduled to take place next month.

According to a post on the borough website, The hydrant flushing will occur starting Monday, Oct. 4, until Oct. 15, from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. During this time, residents are advised to avoid doing any laundry.

Residents should also be aware that they may see some discoloration in their water, which can be fixed by turning on the cold faucets and leaving them open until the water runs clear.
