Manasquan is still dealing with additional coronavirus cases just as in-person instruction was supposed to restart at the high school.

MANASQUAN – Manasquan is still dealing with additional coronavirus cases just as in-person instruction was supposed to restart at the high school.
Manasquan High School was closed for in-person instruction and transitioned to fully remote learning through Nov. 25, with an anticipated re-opening on Monday, Nov. 30th.
Then, this week, the district announced that a Manasquan High School student and a Manasquan Elementary School employee, in unrelated cases, received positive COVID-19 test results.

The last date the high school student was in school was on Wednesday, Nov. 18th, and therefore did not have any close contacts at school within their potentially contagious period, officials said.
The last date the elementary school employee was in school was Wednesday, Nov. 25th. The employee did not have any close contacts while at school and, based on their symptom onset date, was also not in school during their contagious period, officials said.

While confidentiality restrictions prevent the district from sharing additional details, officials have engaged in contact tracing.
Based on the dates these individuals were last in the buildings, no close contacts were identified.
