Spring Lake Police: Arrests, Warrants, Harassment

Police activity in October 2012

Spring Lake police report the following arrests and incidents in October:

Oct. 31

Sgt. Robert Zoino and Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin placed three juvenile males from Wall into custody after they were found in possession of stolen property from the South End Pavilion. They were turned over to their parents pending charges.

Ptl. Timothy Moran responded to Central Avenue and the railroad tracks for a report of a motor vehicle stuck on the tracks.

Patrols, Spring Lake First Aid and Spring Lake fire companies responded to the 000 block of South Boulevard to assist in evacuating two residents from their home due to flooding.

Oct. 28

Ptl. James Heine arrested Rosemarie Iazzetta, 43 of Spring Lake Heights on an outstanding warrant out of another jurisdiction.

Oct. 26

Ptl. Michael Palmer and Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin responded to the 200 block of South Boulevard for a neighbor dispute.

Oct. 21

Sgt. Patrick Gilroy received a report of a stolen bicycle from the area of the Spring Lake Train Station.

Ptl. James Heine received a report of a lost or stolen credit card from the area of the Third Avenue Business District.

Oct. 20

Ptl. Christopher Kucinski and Ptl. Michael Palmer responded to Ludlow Avenue and the railroad tracks for a possible vehicle struck by a train. Upon arrival patrols located the caller, who advised that the vehicle was not struck. The caller advised that a smaller sedan with a white female motorist drove around the gates as they were down and parked on the tracks. The caller stated that the female was looking in the direction of the train. The caller exited his vehicle and ran at the vehicle, yelling at the female. The female drove from the tracks and out of the area. Patrols were unable to locate the female driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Timothy Giblin at 732-449-1234.

Ptl. Christopher Kucinski and Ptl. Michael Palmer responded to the area of the 200 block of Monmouth Avenue for a report of vandalism.

Oct. 19

Sgt. Steven Blecki and Ptl. Emmett Smith responded to Marucci Park for a report of a large group getting ready to fight. Upon arrival of patrols most of the group fled the area. Patrols spoke with individuals who said that a fight was posted on Facebook and they came to watch. Patrols witnessed no fight or anyone with injuries.

Oct. 16

Sgt. Patrick Gilroy responded to a residence on Third Avenue for a report of attempted fraud.

Oct. 15

Ptl. James Heine responded to a business on Third Avenue for a report of harassment.

Oct. 10

Ptl. Michael Palmer, Sgt. Steven Blecki, the Spring Lake Fire Company, Spring Lake First Aid and the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit responded to a business on Third Avenue for a bomb threat. The call was investigated and was found to be a hoax.

Oct. 9

Ptl. James Heine responded to a business on Third Avenue for a report of terroristic threats.
