Controlled Burns Being Conducted In Manchester
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is conducting the burns to reduce the potential for wildfires.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is planning to conduct controlled burns in Manchester on Tuesday, authorities said.
The controlled burns, also called prescribed burns, are used to remove flammable materials — leaves, brush and such — to help reduce the fuel that feeds wildfires.
The burning in Manchester is in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area, the forest fire service said.
