Fire Leaves Crestwood Village Home Uninhabitable In Manchester
Manchester police said no one was injured in the fire.
MANCHESTER, NJ — A home in Crestwood Village 4 was left uninhabitable Friday by an accidental fire, Manchester police said.
The fire at the home on Hudson Parkway was reported at 9:23 p.m., Capt. Albert Vega said. When firefighters and police arrived, smoke and flames were coming from the back of the house. The house and connected units had no one inside as the residents had evacuated or the units were not occupied, he said.
There were no injuries reported, Vega said.

The Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire was caused by the failure of energized electrical components in the master bedroom, Vega said.
The home sustained extensive fire and water damage, and the building inspector subsequently deemed the residence inhabitable.

The Whiting Volunteer Fire Company, Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company, Manchester Township Volunteer Fire Company, Manchester Township Emergency Medical Services, Forked River Volunteer Fire Company, Bamber Lakes Volunteer Fire Company, Bayville Volunteer Fire Company, Berkeley Township Fire Department, Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst Fire Department, Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Company, New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company, Plumsted Volunteer Fire Company, Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, and Jersey Central Power & Light all responded to the fire.
