Hunter Finds Human Remains In Forest Off Route 70

MANCHESTER, NJ — Authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains in the woods off Route 70 in Manchester.

New Jersey State Police were called about 7 p.m. on Friday to the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest for a report of human remains found by a hunter, State Police Detective Jeffrey Lebron said Tuesday.

A large law enforcement presence was seen along Route 70 in Manchester on Monday as a search continued in the area.
