Mayor: Public Works Director Suspension an Internal, Confidential Matter
Mayor Michael Fressola responds to claims made by Director Stephen Stanziano

The following is Manchester Mayor Michael Fressola's response to accusations from Public Works Director Stephen Stanziano that he was unjustly suspended. Business Administrator Elena Zsoldos said that the township has not been contacted by any state agencies regarding the situation. Zsoldos said: "I can confirm that this administration's main focus is and will always be what's in the best interest of the good people of Manchester Township."
It is unfortunate that Mr. Stanziano has chosen to tell one side of the story regarding a matter which the township continues to address internally as a confidential personnel matter.

Mr. Stanziano apparently seeks public support while not finding it appropriate to inform the public as to what it is or would be supporting. We are confident that had Mr. Stanziano chosen to make the whole story public and not only half of it, most if not all concerned citizens would see that the township’s actions are an entirely responsible effort to maintain accountability for those vested with a public trust and to ensure the effective delivery of public services.
Mr. Stanziano’s story makes no mention whatsoever of the basis upon which the township seeks to implement personnel decisions at issue, despite the fact that, in accordance with his rights, he has been fully advised of the basis of the personnel action which has taken place.

Township administration is relying on the administrative legal process to sort out this matter rather than seeking to sway the public with half of a story.
