• Flood Mitigation Mayors Group In Ocean County Earns State Honor (patch.com) — Mantoloking is part of a 10-town Barrier Island Flood Consortium that just earned a statewide planning award for its collaborative approach to tackling worsening tidal and storm flooding. Local mayors, including Mantoloking’s Lance White, are pursuing major grants, shared engineering studies, and potential projects like pumps, higher bulkheads, floodgates, and dredging to better protect homes, roads, and daily life along the northern barrier island.
