Best-Selling Adult And Children's Authors To Speak At Free Book Fest In Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The 6th annual Book Festival will kick off in Maplewood and South Orange this week featuring author Jennifer Egan and a slate of children's authors.
Each year, the festival focuses on both adults' and children's books.
This year, authors will speak on Thursday and Sunday.

Thursday, Sept. 29 will feature best-selling author Jennifer Egan speaking at the Woodland. The event is free of charge. Find out more here.
The children’s festival will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, and feature approximately 50 picture book, middle grade and YA authors. These events are also free of charge.

The festival "brings together readers and authors in celebration of the joy and diversity of the written word. Our informative adult author events highlight the major artistic, social and political issues of the day, while our vibrant and fun-filled children’s area allow our youngest readers to discover the importance and delight of books—and meet many of their favorite authors!" say organizers.
