Burglars Tried To Enter Maplewood Homes Through Windows: Police

Burglars tried to sneak into two Maplewood homes through their first-floor windows. They didn't get inside, police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Two attempted burglaries were recently reported in a four-day span in Maplewood, police announced Tuesday.

The Maplewood Police Department released the following details about each incident:

April 3 – “Maplewood police officers responded to a Courter Avenue residence on a report of an attempted burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence through a first-floor window. Entry was not gained and no items were reported missing.”

April 6 – “Maplewood police officers responded to a Claremont Avenue residence on a report of an attempted burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence through a first-floor window. Entry was not gained and no items were reported missing.”
