Joseph Aliano Joins the South Essex Fire Department (tapinto.net) — A new probationary firefighter, Joseph Aliano, has joined the South Essex Fire Department based in Maplewood after graduating from the Morris County Fire Academy this week. He’ll soon begin EMT training, a requirement for SEFD firefighters who rotate on the ambulance that handles most medical calls and hospital transports in town. His father, veteran firefighter Sal Aliano, was on hand to celebrate.
