Maplewood Village is celebrating local Black-owned businesses for Black History Month, from an art shop to a dispensary. Check them out.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Amid activities, art exhibits, and events in Maplewood and South Orange for Black History Month this month, Maplewood Village has posted a rundown of six Black-owned Maplewood businesses in the area to check out.
"We are celebrating our Black-owned businesses and the contributions these Black entrepreneurs make to our vibrant and lively village," Maplewood Village said.
Among them are Noiré Dispensary, 171 Maplewood Ave., owned by husband and wife team Giovanni and Sharquana. "We have years of experience operating our CBD businesses in Maplewood and Denville while simultaneously being heavily involved in the communities," they say.
