Car Crashes Into $3 Million Essex County Home, Drives Out the Other Side
A Cadillac Escalade driven by a 26-year-old plowed through the center hall of the Stewart Road home and out the back window.
A large SUV crashed into a $3 million dollar Short Hills home Monday, plowing through the center hall of the home and out the other side.
According to a report on NJ.com, a 2011 Cadillac Escalade crashed through the home on Stewart Road at about 10:42 a.m., police said.
Millburn Sgt. David Bonnie told NJ.com that the SUV travelled through the center hall of the colonial style house, through the living room and out the back window of the home, which sits on a hill.

The real estate website Zillow estimated the home’s worth to be more than $3 million.
The 26-year-old driver and a 56-year-old passenger in the Escalade were taken to Morristown Medical Center with minor injuries, Bonnie said.

Millburn Fire Battalion Chief Robert Echavarria added that minimal furniture was damaged in the crash. The Escalade reportedly “just went through,” Echavarria told NJ.com.
Police are still investigating the crash, but drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have played a role.
