Car Hits Pedestrian, 65, In Maplewood: Police
The driver remained at the scene, Maplewood police said.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A car recently struck a pedestrian in Maplewood, authorities say.
The Maplewood Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place on Jan. 29:
“Maplewood police officers responded to Prospect Street and Parker Avenue on a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Officers and the South Essex Fire Department arrived on scene and treated the 65-year-old pedestrian, who was ultimately transported to area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.”
The driver remained at scene. They were issued summonses for Careless Driving and Failure to Yield to Pedestrian, police said.
