MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Amid a storm that's expected to keep up through tomorrow morning, a tree has fallen in Maplewood, the police said in an alert to residents.

They said, "Due to a tree down, Oakland Road is closed between Plymouth Avenue and Forest Road."

They asked drivers to use an alternate route.

The swath of Oakland Road is next to Maplecrest Park, not far from Route 124.
