Maplewood Business, Home Burglarized Over 2-Day Span: Police
A Maplewood business and a home were burglarized on back-to-back days, authorities recently reported.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A Maplewood business and a home were burglarized on back-to-back days last month, authorities recently reported.
The Maplewood Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Dec. 14 (Commercial Burglary) – “Maplewood police officers responded to an Irvington Avenue business on a report of a commercial burglary. The business owner reported that they discovered their rear door to the business was damaged and items missing from the store. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still currently investigating this incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department.”

Dec. 15 (Residential Burglary) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a Ridgewood Road residence on a report of a residential burglary. The home owner reported that they heard a noise in their kitchen and when they came downstairs, they found the rear door open. No items were reported missing; however, damage was observed to a first-floor window. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still currently investigating this incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department.”
