Maplewood Police Apprehend Accused Burglar In Township
He was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, Maplewood police said.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood police arrested an accused burglar in the township earlier this month, authorities say.
According to the Maplewood Police Department, officers responded to a business on Millburn Avenue on Jan. 5 after getting a report about a burglary.

“After an on-scene investigation it was determined that unknown suspect(s) forced entry to the business through the front door and rummaged through the business. While on-scene, officers came in contact with another business owner who also reported damage to their front door. When [the officer] concluded his investigation, he observed 59-year-old Michael Damiano of Irvington, who matched the description of the suspect observed on surveillance cameras.”
Damiano was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary. He was released with a court date, police said.
