Maplewood Primary Election: See Results For Town Committee (UPDATED)

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood voters went to the polls on Tuesday to cast ballots in the 2025 primary election.
Democratic and Republican candidates are competing for their party’s nomination. The winners of the primary will face off again in the general election on Nov. 4, which will also include third-party and independent candidates.

In Maplewood, two candidates are competing for one township committee seat as Democrats: Jane Collins-Colding, who got the endorsement of the Essex County Democratic Committee, and Maxwell Jacob Kravitz, who is running under the slogan "Building a New Progressive Future Together."

No Republican candidates filed a petition to run in the primary election.
Jane Collins-Colding has apparently emerged victorious over Maxwell Jacob Kravitz in the Democratic race, according to the Essex County Clerk's Office. Here are the uncertified results:
MAPLEWOOD TOWN COMMITTEE (vote for one, 100% of districts reported)
- Maxwell Jacob Kravitz – 2,040 votes (36.55%)
- Jane Collins-Colding – 3,541 votes (63.45%)
