South Orange-Maplewood School Board To Meet Thursday For Reorganization, More

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education will hold a special meeting Thursday night for reorganization and other matters.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 at their building at 525 Academy St., and can be watched live using these links.
The reorganization resolution includes a list of appointments of professionals, including district coordinators (such as a school bullying coordinator), law firms, insurance agencies, and Dr. Michael Kelly of West Orange as school doctor. The resolution is here.

It also includes adopting the Code of Student Conduct through June 30, 2024, setting certain fees, and continuing memberships in organizations.
The board will also terminate an employee. Such matters are confidential and normally discussed in closed session.
