Maplewood 'Summer Streets' To Continue With Concert, Events

Maplewood will have two concert series running this summer. This weekend, there are events for 'Summer Streets' and Pride Month.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood's outdoor "Summer Streets" series continues this weekend with outdoor dining and the weekly Saturday evening concert. Next month, a separate Friday concert series kicks off at the Springfield Avenue Gazebo.

There are also more activities and town-sponsored events this weekend, including for Pride Month (Harmonica Sunbeam will host a Maplewood Drag Dance Party Friday). Check out the lineup of events using this link.

This Saturday, the featured concert will be the Blue Sphere Jazz Quartet. Here's a link to a video of them performing in Maplewood last year. They will perform at 6 p.m. in Maplewood Village.

The following Saturday, July 2, Linda and the Love Tones will perform at 6 p.m.

Next month, the Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture begins its weekly Friday concert series at the Springfield Avenue Gazebo.

It kicks off July 15 with Maplewood native Autumn Jones.

A short bio says, "Autumn Jones is an accomplished singer-songwriter from Maplewood, New Jersey with a strong vocal technique and songwriting capabilities. The soulful r&b she creates is an expression of her life experiences as told through her stories, expressed in each of her songs."
