3 Menorah Lightings Scheduled In Maplewood And South Orange

Hanukkah 2022 starts at sundown on Sunday. Maplewood and South Orange will hold separate menorah lighting events with activities this week.

MAPLEWOOD AND SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Hanukkah starts at sundown this Sunday, Dec. 18, and a total of three menorah lightings have been scheduled next week in Maplewood and South Orange.

In Maplewood, Rabbi Sholom Bogomilsky from the Maplewood Jewish Center will light the menorah in Ricalton Square on Wednesday, Dec. 21, as part of Dickens Village. Find out more here.

The ceremony will take place at 6:15 p.m.

South Orange

In South Orange, a menorah lighting ceremony will take place, with cocoa, singing, and a craft, on Hanukkah this Sunday starting at 5 p.m.

South Orange Downtown wrote, "Join us for the annual lighting of the Menorah on December 18 at 5 p.m. in Spiotta Park. Refreshments and treats will be served. Hanukkah themed crafts will be available for kids. All are welcome!"

The ceremony will be held at Spiotta Park at South Orange Avenue and Kroll Plaza. Find out more here and here.
