MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Weather damage to a pole and overhead wires in Maplewood has caused NJ Transit to shut down two train services.

The Morris and Essex Line, as well as the Gladstone Branch line, are suspended until further notice, the transit department said Tuesday. Monday night's storm damaged a catenary pole and overhead wiring near Maplewood.

Crews are on the scene Tuesday morning. There is no estimate for service to be restored.

Tickets for these lines are being honored at all NJ Transit Raritan Valley and Montclair-Boonton rail lines, as well as on NJ Transit bus and private carrier services.
