Pet of the Week: Batman

Hello there! Are you looking for a superhero? Guess what? I AM a superhero! I'm Batman!
I’m a young adult boy who just yearns to have fun. My urge to have fun makes me a bit excited when the nice volunteers come to take me out. Afterall, Batman always rushes out of the bat cave to help someone in need.
While I may pull on the leash a bit when I first come out, I do quickly calm down. The volunteers tell me I’ll walk really nicely once I get settled into a regular routine. The nice man who took me out went jogging with me and I really liked it. It really is nice to exercise with a friend don’t you think?

You want to know a little Batman secret? I absolutely love to roll on my back in the grass and have people rub my belly. It just feels SO good!

I also walked with two female dogs and really enjoyed their company! With one of the dogs we romped around together and really seemed to hit it off! If you have another dog, please bring them down to see if we are a match made in heaven!
I passed my food test with flying colors. The humans took my food away and pestered me while I ate and it did not bother me one bit.

Batman is available at the Jersey Animal Coalition Shelter located at 298 Walton Ave. in South Orange. Their hours are as follows:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Noon - 7pm
Wednesday: Noon - 6pm
Thursday: Noon - 7pm
Friday: Noon - 6pm
Saturday and Sunday: Noon - 5pm
