Well-Known Chef Leaves Maplewood Restaurant After 4 Months: Report

Klaus Kronsteiner has left Luna Stella in Maplewood, a report says. The restaurant will continue its positive trajectory, noted the manager.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A chef who'd worked at several acclaimed restaurants has left Luna Stella in Maplewood after starting there in December, said a report on NorthJersey.com.

European-trained chef Klaus Kronsteiner went to work at Luna Stella when it reopened on Dec. 21, adding unique dishes like pan-seared duck with red shiso salt, says the story. He had previously worked at the prestigious Chez Catherine in Westfield and helped chef David Viana launch a popup in Philadelphia, the story says.

The restaurant's manager, Adam Greer, whom Kronsteiner brought in, said the restaurant's sous chef is now in charge of the kitchen — and the eatery will "continue on the trajectory we're on" with brunch, an upcoming wine-tasting, and more. Read more on NorthJersey.com here.
