Rock the House Is 'Rock the Hill' for One Night

Rock the House moves the venue outside for a night on South Orange's Floods Hill.

It really, truly is August.

It's getting quiet in the towns. In fact, so quiet that Maplewood is looking to South Orange for its major nighttime activity for the second night in a row: Rock the House comes out to play tonight for the final concert of the South Orange outdoor series. Local bands New Day Dawn, Thursday Habit, and MyMyndMocean bring their best to Floods Hill at 7:30 p.m., free of charge. And, just for this concert, the musical collective dubs itself Rock the Hill.

This is Rock the Hill's second appearance on Floods Hill. Last summer, Patch videographer Barry Kaufman talked to Rock the House founder Alex Silberman about the group's genesis. As a bonus, he also captured opening act Alan Paul.
