South Orange-Maplewood 2024 School Board Election: See Candidate List
Here's who filed petitions to run in the SOMA board of education race this November.
SOUTH ORANGE-MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The 2024 general election will likely be a high-turnout year with a presidential race on the ballot. But there will also be local decisions to be made on Nov. 5 in the South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education race.
With Monday’s deadline for candidates to file petitions in the rearview mirror, seven people have filed to run in the South Orange-Maplewood school district, which covers both towns. Three seats are up for election; terms last for three years.
Here are the candidates and their slogans, as per the Essex County Clerk’s Office:
