South Orange-Maplewood Pre-K Programs Get $6.67M In Gov's Next Budget
Registration for South Orange-Maplewood's preschool programs runs through this Friday, March 10. Find out about that and other registration.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — South Orange-Maplewood is one of nine school districts that will get aid from the state of New Jersey to fund their preschool programs for the 2023-24 school year, according to recently released state figures.
If you have a toddler, you can be part of it next year. Registration in the district for fall 2023 runs through this Friday, March 10. (Dates for other grades for fall 2023 are here.)

The state aid is part of Gov. Phil Murphy’s latest proposed budget for next year.

In addition to K-12 funding, many districts will also get money for preschool programs. In Essex County, South Orange-Maplewood will get $6,671,535.
