South Orange-Maplewood Schools Closed Thursday Due To Winter Storm
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory and a hazardous weather outlook for the South Orange-Maplewood area.
SOUTH ORANGE-MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The South Orange-Maplewood Public School District will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 6 due to a winter storm.
According to an advisory from the district:
"Due to the weather impacting road conditions, the South Orange & Maplewood School District will be closed on Thursday, February 6. All afterschool events are cancelled districtwide to keep our students and staff safe during the peak of the storm."
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory and a hazardous weather outlook for the Maplewood area that will be in effect until Thursday afternoon.
