'Swim Lessons For All' Pilot Program Offered In Maplewood This Summer

Registration opens Wednesday for non-pool members who want "Swim Lessons for All" in Maplewood. The cost is $50 per two-week session.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Do you want swim lessons for your child, but you're not a member of the Maplewood Community Pool? No problem!

This summer, Maplewood is piloting Swim Lessons for All, a program that opens Community Pool swimming lessons to all interested township residents, regardless of pool membership status.

A period of presale lessons for pool members showed high interest, so the town has added extra lessons.

Lessons will open to the general public this Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Lessons are $50 per two-week session, per child, and households can sign up for two sessions per child. Households can also apply to receive financial assistance for lessons through the Rec Assistance Fund.

A waiting list will be maintained after classes fill up.
