The Week Ahead: Township Committee Meeting, Summer Sidewalk Sale

Busy agenda on tap for Maplewood Township Committee meeting Tuesday night.

Maplewood’s Township Committee will have a busy agenda when it meets Tuesday night at 7 at the municipal building.

The council is scheduled to discuss an ordinance on reorganizing the department of public works from eight divisions down to four as well as an ordinance to amend the duties and responsibilities of recreation and cultural affairs.

The Maplewood Farmer’s Market will take place today from 2-7 p.m. at the intersection of Springfield Avenue at Indiana Street.

BNI Business Exchange Chapter Meeting, 7 a.m., Crane's Delicatessen & Cheese Shoppe, 5 Highland Pl, Maplewood. Turnover Sale at Morrow Church, Thursday, July 19, 2012, 9 a.m. Morrow Memorial United Methodist Church, 600 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood. The biggest turnover sale in NJ is back! Now in its 78th year, this sale is often called "the Miracle on Baker Street" because it’s an amazing event one has to see to believe. Our goal is to raise money for mission and charitable projects. In the process two full floors of the church are transformed into a full-fledged department store with a 40x40 tent to add even more space.
