Wave Of Burglaries, Stolen Cars Reported In Maplewood

A wave of home burglaries and stolen vehicles was recently reported in Maplewood, police say. Here's where the incidents happened.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A wave of home burglaries and stolen vehicles was recently reported in Maplewood, police say.

The Maplewood Police Department released details about the following incidents:

October 17 (Burglary) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Boyden Ave on a report of a burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole person items. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still actively investigating the incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department 973-762-3400 and/ or email WIsetts@MaplewoodNJ.gov.”

October 27 (Stolen Motor Vehicle) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Wetmore Avenue on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the 2008 Ford Escape and stole the vehicle during the overnight hours.”

October 29 (Burglary with Stolen Vehicles) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Collinwood Road on a report of a burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stolen keys to a 2023 Audi Q8 and a 2016 Audi Q3. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still actively investigating the incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department 973-762-3400.”

October 30 (Burglary) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Elberta Road on a report of a burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a side window. No items were reported missing at this time. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still actively investigating the incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department 973-762-3400.”

October 30 (Burglary) – Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Girard Place on a report of a burglary. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a rear window. No items were reported missing at this time. The Maplewood Police Detective Bureau is still actively investigating the incident. Anyone having information or video of the incident is asked to contact the Maplewood Police Department 973-762-3400.

October 31 (Stolen Motor Vehicle) – “Maplewood police officers responded to a residence on Boyden Avenue on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and stole the vehicle.”
