Celebrate Winter With Concert By Colts Neck Community Band
Eclectic musical selections to be performed by the Colts Neck Community Band at its Winter Concert Thursday night at Colts Neck High School.
COLTS NECK, NJ — Celebrate the first day of February by attending what promises to be a "fun and eclectic" Winter Concert by the Colts Neck Community Band.
The performance by the band, now in its 22nd season, is on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Colts Neck High School Auditorium, Route 537 and Five Points Road.
Conductors for the evening are Kelly Tyma, Mel Chayette, David Crosby, Eric Robertshaw, and Don Swinchoski.

Works to be performed include:
- Selections from "Porgy and Bess," George and Ira Gershwin
- "Persuasion," Sammy Nestico, featuring principal jazz saxophonist Vinnie Sorenson
- "The Country Club Stomp," Jarod Hall
- "Elements" (Petite Symphony), Brian Balmages
- "Rocketship!" Kevin Day
- "Northern Lights," Yukiko Nishimura
Admission to the Winter Concert is free, although donations are appreciated, the band says.
