Family Jewelry Stolen and Sold in Marlboro, Police Say
Rose attempted to sell a $25,000 watch and a $4,000 pair of earrings.

A Matawan man is accused of selling stolen family jewels at a Marlboro gold store, according to police.
David Rose, 32, of Aberdeen Road was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly attempted to sell a $25,000 watch with the words "To My Beloved Son," engraved on it. Rose also allegedly tried to sell a $4,000 pair of gold earrings to World Wide Gold Buyer on Route 9.
Rose is charged with theft by unlawful taking and is in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
