Greebriar Residents Screen 'Killing Kennedy' for Cablevision

Both Kyrillos and Hornik spoke to the audience about the Kennedy assassination, acknowledging its continued legacy in the minds of Americans.

Greenbriar residents got a first glance at Killing Kennedy during a screening with the movie's producer, Sen. Joe Kyrillos and Mayor Jon Hornik.

According to a news release, the movie is "based on the recent best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, the film chronicles the four years leading up to President Kennedy’s assassination from both the president’s and Oswald’s perspectives."

Both Kyrillos and Hornik spoke to the audience about the Kennedy assassination, acknowledging its continued legacy in the minds of Americans.

Hornik said, “The power of the Kennedy mystique is undeniable and I believe people will be fascinated by this new film that revisits an important chapter in American history.  Thanks to Cablevision and Nat Geo, the residents at Greenbriar were able to enjoy this exciting and educational movie.”

Cablevision partnered with Nat Geo to bring the film, produced by Charlie Parsons, to Greenbriar. The film will be broadcast on the National Geographic Channel on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m.

“The events of November 22, 1963 remain imprinted in the memory Americans and people worldwide,” Kyrillos said.  “While there have been any number of best-sellers and films that have dealt with President Kennedy’s assassination, the new documentary Killing Kennedy approaches the subject from a different angle.  Thank you to Cablevision and Nat Geo for premiering this culturally significant film here at the Greenbriar at Marlboro.”
