Marlboro Bicyclist Hospitalized After Deer Struck His Head: Police

A bicyclist in Marlboro was hospitalized Sunday morning after a deer attempted to hurdle over him, but instead struck his head.

MARLBORO, NJ - A bicyclist in Marlboro was hospitalized Sunday morning after a deer attempted to hurdle over him, but instead struck his head, police said.

The man was traveling on Wyncrest Road near Windfall Lane around 9:30 a.m. when the deer ran out of the woods and tried to jump over the cyclist but missed, a witness told police.

The man, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center with head and facial injuries, police said.
