Aberdeen Man Accused of Assaulting Officer
He also faces charges of resisting arrest and terroristic threats

An Aberdeen man is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, throwing bodily fluids at a law enforcement officer and terroristic threats after two incidents at his home on Saturday.
According to Chief John Powers, two Aberdeen officers served Dean R. Butler, 36, of Lorraine Drive, with a temporary restraining order at 9:45 p.m. on May 26
Butler, who was allegedly intoxicated, became antagonistic with the officers and bumped and spit on Special Officer Michael Scarpa, Powers said. Butler resisted officers’ attempts to handcuff him, but, after a brief struggle, was subdued and taken into custody.
