Aberdeen PD Searching for Burglar Who Entered Occupied Home
Resident was woken by a noise and saw a person with a flashlight in her home, police say

The Aberdeen Township Police Department is investigating the burglary of a Greenwood Avenue home that took place early this morning while the resident was sleeping.
According to Chief of Police John Powers, shortly before 4 a.m. on May 14, the resident, who was alone in the house, was woken up by a noise. She told police she saw a person with a flashlight going through drawers in another room, Powers said. The woman waited in her bedroom until the person left and then after about ten minutes, she called police, Powers said.
Responding officers searched the area with the assistance of a Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the subject, according to Powers.
