Obituary: Robert D. Capraun, 62, of Keyport

Robert D. Capraun, 62, of Keyport, passed away, Monday, December 31, 2012, at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown.  Born in Newark, he resided in Keyport for the past 40 years.  He worked at IFF as a chemical operator for 25 years.  He enjoyed fresh and salt water fishing; and motorcycle racing.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Robert was predeceased by his parents, William and Marie Jones Capraun.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ochinegro Capraun; a loving daughter, Jennifer Capraun of Union Beach; siblings, Ken Capraun and wife Barbara of Howell; Billy Capraun and wife Maria of CA; and Susan Capraun of PA;  two cherished grandchildren, George and Julia; and many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited Thursday, January 3, 2013, 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, January 4, 2013, 10 AM, with a 10:30 AM service at the funeral home.   Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.  To offer the family online condolences or for directions, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
