Obituary: Teresa DiPierdomenico, 102, of Cliffwood

Teresa (Fedele) DiPierdomenico, 102, of Cliffwood, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. She was born in San Valentino, Italy before coming to America 55 years ago. Teresa was a loving, caring woman, the matriarch of a large family. She was extremely talented in that she could needlepoint, crochet and was an amazing cook. Teresa was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her large loving family. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Nicola DiPierdomenico of 57 years; a son, Stefano DiPierdomenico of Canada; her parents, Nicola and Rosaria Fedele of San Valentino, Italy; a brother, Santino Fedele of Cliffwood; a sister, Maria DiGiambattista of San Valentino, Italy; two half brothers, Liberate and Guiseppi Iacobucci of Cliffwood; and a son-in-law, Gaetano Pellaccia of Italy. She is survived by her loving children, Philomena Pelaccia of Italy; a daughter, Maria and her husband, Peter Sakowski of Matawan; and a son, Nunzio and his wife, Elvira DiPierdomenico of Cliffwood; a daughter-in-law, Natalina DiPierdomenico of Canada; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. 

Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012, 3-7PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Saturday, 8:45AM at the funeral home, with a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport. Donations are being accepted by the family and will be submitted to hospice in Teresa’s name.
