Buckle Up for the Worst Potholes in Matawan

Nothing puts a dent in a morning commute like bad traffic and a street littered with potholes.

Blizzard 2016 left monumental snowfalls up and down the east coast, and the Matawan area was not immune to its wrath.

Large snowfalls compiled with El Niño induced warmer temperatures have caused more potholes and road problems than most motorists can stomach.

Patch readers gave us a rundown of particularly pocked streets in their neighborhoods. Here are some spots that might be worth detouring:

• “Middlesex Rd.”

• “Prospect and Amboy intersection and Concorde and Amboy intersection opposite from Wendy’s.”

• “New ones opening on Main St. toward Rte. 34. Mill Rd. is still needing help.”

• “Corner of Andover Ln. and Avondale and corner of Ambler Ln. and Avondale Lane.”

• “Aberdeen Rd. needs to be paved!”

• “The small bridge on Church St., east of Cashel Dr.”

• “Wilson/Texas Rd.”

• “Woodbrook Dr. Thirty-five years since last pave.”
