Lloyd Road Students Paint Their Wonders of the World
Scratch that list of the original seven and check out the places these fifth graders would love to visit
held their annual Kids Arts Fair Thursday night in the school's cafeteria.
Students learned about the Seven Wonders of the World in art class with their art teacher, Daisy Orr. They then discussed all the places around the world they would love to visit and compiled a list of forty.
Orr then let each child pick a location. They sketched it out on paper with pencils, used a lightbox to trace their drawing with a fine point marker onto a canvas, and then grabbed their paint brushes.

The most popular place to paint seemed to be the Great Wall of China, Orr said. There were also several Eiffel Towers, Big Ben clock towers, and Sydney Opera Houses.
The young artists learned several drawing and painting techniques, including how to properly blend water colors, Orr explained.
