ABERDEEN, NJ - A man was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train Friday morning in Aberdeen, authorities said.

At approximately 7:03 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3320 hit the pedestrian just past Aberdeen-Matawan station in the vicinity of Cliffwood Avenue in Aberdeen, Aberdeen police said in a statement.

The train left Bay Head at 5:55 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:00 a.m., police said.

No injuries were reported to any of the roughly 350 customers or crew on board.

North Jersey Coast Line rail service is currently suspended in both directions between Long Branch and South Amboy.
