‘Massive’ Power Outage Hits Aberdeen, 800 Homes Affected
The power outage most severely affected the Cliffwood Beach section of town and near the NJ Transit station, police said.
ABERDEEN, NJ - A “massive” power outage was reported in Aberdeen Township Tuesday night, authorities said.
The outage, reported at around 9:30 p.m., mostly affected JCP&L customers in the Cliffwood Beach section of town and near the NJ Transit station, police said.
Around 800 homes were affected, police said. It was not immediately clear what caused the outage.

All power has since been restored as of 7 a.m. Wednesday, police added. According to JCP&L’s outage map, only 22 residences are still in the dark Wednesday morning.
A request for comment from Aberdeen police was not immediately returned.
