Two Matawan streets will benefit from a recently received Borough grant. Mayor Paul Buccellato announced to the Council and attending community members, at the April 3 Borough Council meeting, that the Borough of Matawan will receive a grant for two local road repairs. According to Buccellato, the grant is from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and valued at $200,000. Buccellato was notified that the Borough received the grant money a week ago. The grant will go towards road work on Monroe Street and Sunset Street.
