Matawan's Terhune Park Gets $187K Grant For Improvements

MATAWAN, NJ — On Nov. 14, the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners awarded grants to 27 Monmouth County towns to make park improvements.

And Terhune Park in Matawan is one of the parks that received an improvement grant. The town of Matawan was given a $180,908 grant to make improvements to Terhune Park. Matawan did not specify what exactly the coming improvements are.

The municipalities that were awarded funding through the 2025 Municipal Open Space Grant program and the amount each awardee received were as follows:
