Personal Best Week Celebrates Special Education Students in Matawan & Aberdeen

Several events this week will flaunt the accomplishments of Matawan and Aberdeen students receiving special education services

Parents of Special People, Inc (PoSP) is hosting Personal Best Week to display the achievements of students in the district receiving special education services.

With the support of Matawan Borough and Aberdeen Township, PoSP, a 501(c)3 charity, has several events and fundraisers planned throughout the week.

Personal Best Week Gallery Walks

The Personal Best Week Gallery Walks is an annual event in the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District. The artwork will remain on display until June 1.

Recognition Ceremony

PoSP will be honoring the Husky Special Olympic Team, Inclusive Community Programs & Volunteers, and the Elementary & Middle School Essay Contest Winners. There will be presentations by the school principals highlighting the programming, students and educators who have achieved their Personal Best.

Second Annual Silent Art Auction

Pieces of art that have been specially commissioned by PoSP as inclusive projects around the themes of "Friendship". Inclusion" and "Never Give Up" will be part of a silent auction to benefit PoSP. The pieces can be viewed online.
