Spotlight Players Stars of Tomorrow Presents ‘The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad’
Performances will run from April 14 until April 22.

Community members are welcomed to join the Spotlight Players Stars of Tomorrow during their upcoming performances of The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad.
Beginning on April 14 and running through April 22, the Spotlight Players of Matawan will present the fun family musical based on Kenneth Grahame’s beloved book The Wind in the Willows.
“This production is extra special,” says director Roman Sohor, of Old Bridge, in a news release. “It is the inaugural production in the Spotlight Players Stars of Tomorrow series, with a goal of nurturing and highlighting talent and a love of theater in children. If there is as strong a community response to the show as there was from the many young actors who auditioned, we hope that these productions will become a regular part of each season at Spotlight Players.”

The show is produced by veteran Spotlight producers Michael Leonard of Hazlet and Meredith Henriques of Matawan. Assisting Sohor, Leonard, and Henriques, is a talented production team including Becky Stromberg of Freehold and Lizz Naishtut of Aberdeen as Assistant Directors, Justin Ryan of Keyport as Musical Director, Katie Rowe of Middletown as Stage Manager, and Quinn Surdez of Aberdeen as Choreographer.
“While this is a children’s show, it is truly a multi-generational production, and we know that audiences of all ages will enjoy this fun and goofy show. Plus, it is a great way to introduce your children to the joys of live theater in a family-friendly setting,” said Henriques.
