What Should Aberdeen's Slogan Be?
Matawan Regional High School students could earn money for a winning suggestion

Aberdeen Township is searching for a slogan, and they're teaming up with students at to find it.
Several cities across the country have slogans, varying from the infamous New York, NY: 'The City That Never Sleeps' and the lesser known Eagle Pass, Texas: 'Where Yee-Hah! meets Ole!'
The township will conduct a contest to find their slogan. Students will be asked to create a slogan that captures the heart and soul of the community using between two and six words. All Matawan Regional High School students, living in either Aberdeen or Matawan, are eligible to enter.

Prizes will be awarded for first place and two honorary mentions. The first place winner will receive a Visa Gift Card in the amount of $100.00 and each honorable mention recipient will receive a Visa Gift Card in the amount of $50.00.
Entries must be submitted to Principal Michele Ruscavage by the end of the school day on Friday, June 1. The school will then submit them to the Township for judging and winners will be announced at the June 19 council meeting at .

Slogans will be judged by a committee consisting of members of the Aberdeen Township Council and Aberdeen Business Council. All submissions will be entered anonymously, with students using their school district identification number.
